November Recognized as National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

CHICAGO – November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, established in 1978 to recognize those who provide end-of-life care and raise awareness of hospice services. Hospice programs in the United States now provide care to more than 1.65 million people, reflecting growth from just a few thousand patients when the observance began. The month honors hospice workers and highlights their role in improving the lives of patients and families.
