Illinois Ranks 38th in National Tax Competitiveness Report

SPRINGFIELD — Illinois placed 38th out of 50 states in the Tax Foundation’s annual State Tax Competitiveness Index, ranking among the bottom 10 for corporate, property, and unemployment insurance taxes. All neighboring states ranked within the top 25 for overall tax competitiveness.
