BYRON – The Byron City Council last week reviewed updates on public works and infrastructure projects, including progress on the new Public Works building, ongoing sewer cleaning, and the completion of season road repairs by Martin & Co. The council discussed a proposed extension of the sewer line on the south side of the river with construction expected to begin this winter, as well as a sanitary sewer collection study by Fehr Graham. The council also addressed the implementation of a fine schedule for administrative hearings with possible local prosecutorial control, and updates to the pay structure for the city’s administrative assistant position.
