The Chicago Blackhawks lost their opening game of the NHL season Tuesday night to the 2-time defending champion Florida Panther by the final score of 3-2.
Jesper Boqvist scored the winning goal midway through the third period for the Panthers.
Frank Nazar had a goal and an assist for the Blackhawks. Spencer Knight had 34 saves.
Chicago will be in Boston on Thursday night.
