McCombie Sponsors Amendment to Change Solar Bill of Rights

SPRINGFIELD — State Rep. Tony McCombie, R Savanna, has filed legislation to change provisions of the Illinois Solar Bill of Rights that she said have raised concerns in Genoa. House Bill 5803 would amend provisions established under the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act and address concerns involving residential solar projects while preserving local government authority. McCombie opposed the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act last year and said energy costs are already too high. She said she supports an all of the above approach to energy production and plans to seek a hearing for House Bill 5803 during the fall veto session in November.
