DEKALB —Downtown DeKalb streets will close today for Northern Illinois University’s Homecoming Block Party. The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m., with the March of the Huskies parade at 6 p.m. Streets in the event area will reopen once the site is cleared later that night. Most downtown parking lots will stay open, except near the parade staging area.
