Pay It Forward Fund Established After Closure Of Sycamore Nonprofit

SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County Community Foundation has established the Pay It Forward Health and Human Services Fund with assets from the dissolved Pay It Forward House, which closed in 2025 after 20 years of service. Eighty percent of the nonprofit’s remaining resources created the new fund, while 20 percent supported the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership Endowment Fund. The fund will provide support for public sector and nonprofit organizations delivering health and human services in DeKalb County, continuing the legacy of the Sycamore-based organization that offered rest and support to families of patients receiving medical care.
