DeKalb Council Approves $1.2 Million Police Contract

DEKALB  — The DeKalb City Council has approved a five-year, $1.25 million contract with Axon Enterprise Inc. to supply the Police Department with 75 body cameras, 21 new tasers, 19 squad car camera systems, and unlimited cloud-based video storage. Officials said last week the deal replaces aging equipment and ensures consistent video integration and storage ahead of 2026 obsolescence.
