Flagg Township Museum Plans Calendar Project For Nation’s 250th Anniversary

ROCHELLE — The Flagg Township Museum is preparing to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026 with a year-long celebration built around the theme “We the People.” A centerpiece of the effort will be a community calendar, “We the People of Rochelle,” which will feature local residents and their stories. The museum is inviting individuals, businesses, organizations, and schools to take part in the project, which will highlight the people of Rochelle during the anniversary year. Sponsorships will also be available to help support production of the calendar ahead of the 2025 holiday season. The project is part of the museum’s ongoing work to preserve and share Flagg Township history.
