Ribs, Rhythm and Brews Fest Returns to Downtown Sycamore Aug. 22

SYCAMORE — The Sycamore Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Ribs, Rhythm and Brews Fest on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 4 to 10 p.m. at the corner of Somonauk and Elm streets in downtown Sycamore. The free event will feature four award winning rib vendors competing for the RR&B Fest Champion title, along with craft beer, food and live music from The Fever Cats, DJ Kris from Behind the Beats and InFunktious. This year’s rib vendors are Dirty Bird, Slow Smoke Barbecue, Beach Avenue Barbecue and newcomer Chow Hall Smokehouse. Chamber Chief Executive Officer RoseMarie Treml said the festival has become a favorite community tradition since it began in 2015, following the Chamber’s Block Party that started in 2003.

“It’s always the fourth Saturday in August, and it’s one of our favorite days of the year. There is no cost. It’s a family event, and we want to keep it that way. Over the years, that has become even more important. There is no cost to get in. We just want people to come and enjoy it,” Treml said.

Organizers said tables and chairs will be available for guests to enjoy food, drinks and music throughout the evening.
