Rochelle Council Approves Agreement for Emergency Medical Transport Program

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle City Council approved a resolution authorizing the city manager to enter an intergovernmental agreement with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. Fire Chief David Sawlsville recommended the agreement, which allows the city to participate in the Ground Emergency Medical Transport program and receive updated Medicaid reimbursements for ambulance services. City Manager Jeff Fiegenschuh said they may consider updating ambulance fees for lift assists and other tasks in the near future.
