DEKALB — Two people were taken to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital after a crash Friday morning at Illinois Route 38 and Nelson Road. Sheriff’s officials said a northbound vehicle driven by 33-year-old DeKalb woman allegedly went through the intersection and struck a westbound vehicle driven by a North Aurora woman. She and her passenger, a DeKalb resident, were transported by the DeKalb Fire Department with non-life-threatening injuries. The DeKalb driver was not hurt and was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
