Man Charged In Shooting At Rockford Bar

ROCKFORD —  A man is charged in a shooting at a bar in Rockford.  Police say shots were fired Tuesday night at the District Bar and Grill on West State Street.  Officers found several shattered windows and damaged structures inside the bar, along with two parked vehicles that were also hit by gunfire.  Officers learned that a man who had been kicked out of the bar shortly before the incident was the suspect.  Avery Jones was arrested on multiple charges, including Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.  His mother, Nicole Jones, received a citation for Obstructing a Police Officer.
