Rockford Home Sales Down, Prices Up in July

ROCKFORD — Home sales in the Rockford metro area fell 2.4 percent in July compared to last year, with 408 closed sales versus 418 in July 2024, according to Illinois Realtors. Month-to-month sales also dropped 6.6 percent from June’s 437. The median sales price in Rockford rose 12.2 percent year-over-year to $230,000, up from $204,950, and climbed 7.7 percent from June’s $213,500. Statewide, closed sales dipped 0.2 percent from last year to 13,262, while the median price increased 3.9 percent to $319,900.
