A Minnesota man was arrested following a crash near the 6000 block of North Limestone Road in rural Monroe Center early Wednesday morning. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident and determined that a vehicle driven by 28 year old Ahlem Small of Shakopee, Minnesota was southbound on I-39 when he left the roadway to the east, crossed over the center median, both lanes of I-39 northbound, and continued traveling southeast into the cornfield. The vehicle continued through the cornfield with standing corn and stopped on North Limestone Road. Small was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol over .08, Failure to Reduce Speed to Prevent an Accident, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Improper Lane Usage, and Parking in the Roadway. Small was transported to the Ogle County Jail and released on a notice to appear.
