SOMONAUK — A 13-year-old girl was injured Monday afternoon when her bicycle collided with a pickup truck at Gage Street and DeKalb Street in Somonauk. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reported that the girl allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of a truck driven by a 65-year-oldGrand Ridge man. The girl was taken to Valley West Hospital in Sandwich with non-life-threatening injuries. No citations were issued, and the crash remains under investigation.
