Illinois Tops Nuclear Power Ranking, Places in Ten Other Categories

CHICAGO – Illinois ranked first in the nation for nuclear power and placed in the top 10 in 10 other categories in Business Facilities’ 21st Annual Rankings, state officials announced. The state also finished in the top five for foreign direct investment, agribusiness, exports, and wind power, while earning high marks in areas such as artificial intelligence job hubs, cybersecurity talent, solar power, and medical technology. The announcement comes after a separate report earlier this year found Illinois lost more personal income over the past decade than any state except New York and California.
