Rochelle City Council Approves Sale of Pickwick Drive Property

ROCHELLE  — The Rochelle City Council approved the sale of city-owned property at 1414 Pickwick Drive, a 0.29-acre lot zoned for single-family residential use, to Jason and Eryn Harper for $6,000. The council had previously issued a public request for proposals and received only the Harpers’ bid, who plan to use the property as additional outdoor space. The property was appraised at roughly $25,000, and the sale proceeds will be directed to the city’s Electric Department.
