Rochelle Police Promote Baneski to Sergeant

ROCHELLE — Elvis Baneski was sworn in Monday as a sergeant with the Rochelle Police Department. Baneski, who joined the department in 2008, is assigned to the Detective Division and has training in traffic enforcement, rapid deployment, truck weight enforcement and juvenile work. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and previously led the department in DUI arrests in 2019, 2021 and 2022, earning recognition from the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists each year.
