ROCHELLE – Rochelle has officially chosen purple as its primary color, following feedback from residents who said the shade reflects the community’s traditions. The City Council approved the change after reviewing surveys and public comments. The city’s logo will stay the same, but signage, websites, and other materials will be updated in the coming months. Purple has long been used in local schools, sports, and community events, and the switch reflects what residents say they identify with most.
