DIXON — A Chicago man was arrested Sunday night after fleeing from police and crashing into another vehicle near Dixon High School, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies claim that 59-year-old Jaime Santiago drove through multiple stop signs on Peoria Avenue before colliding with another vehicle, and a firearm was later allegedly found in his car. Santiago faces felony charges of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated fleeing, along with several misdemeanor and petty offenses. He was released with pretrial provisions under the Illinois SAFE-T Act.
