CAMBRIDGE, Ill. — The Village of Cambridge is launching a new concert series called Sounds of the Village, which will bring free live music to College Square Park. The series will debut with two shows this summer and expand to a full lineup in 2026, focusing on local and regional performers.
The first concerts are scheduled for Aug. 28 and Sept. 11, featuring Half Catholic, chrash, Jerm Theory and Zach Pietrini. Each show will begin at 6:30 p.m., run about two hours, and be open to the public at no cost. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, along with food and drinks.
Village leaders and community members have made steady improvements to College Square Park in recent years, adding new sidewalks, pavilion upgrades, lighting, landscaping and sound equipment. The new series is seen as a way to put those upgrades to use while drawing residents together through live entertainment.
