ROCHELLE — Two DeKalb juveniles were charged Tuesday after Ogle County deputies pursued a vehicle that allegedly fled a traffic stop on Illinois Route 251, later crashing in a field near East Twombly Road in Rochelle around 4:15 p.m. Deputies said the 17-year-old driver was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated fleeing to elude with property damage over $300, driving on a suspended license, fleeing to elude, speeding more than 35 mph over the limit, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The 16-year-old passenger was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. Both were treated for minor injuries at Rochelle Community Hospital. The passenger was released to a parent, and the driver was taken to the Kane County Juvenile Detention Facility.
