Byron Moves Forward With Sewer Plant Project, Awaits IDOT Negotiations

BYRON — The Byron City Council announced Wednesday that bid documents for construction of a new sewer plant will be released at the end of August, with construction expected to begin in the spring. They also learned of a potential $9,500 property survey Illinois is requesting to be done near an easement for Illinois Route 2, next to the existing plant and where the expansion is set to take place. The city is awaiting negotiations with IDOT regarding zoning and the transfer of adjacent land, which includes an access plat and appraisal.
