DEKALB – DeKalb residents living in permit-required parking areas must renew their residential parking passes by August 11 to avoid citations, as all permits expired August 1. Renewals are available at the DeKalb Police Station Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and require a driver’s license or lease showing proof of address, along with the current permit. Both downtown and non-downtown residents can apply for one free permit per driver, with guest passes also available. Temporary parking waivers may be granted for short-term events based on location and need.
