McCombie Bills on Wildlife and Emergency Response Signed into Law

SAVANNA — Three bills sponsored by Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie were signed into law this week by Governor JB Pritzker. The new laws include a phase-out of the sharpshooting program in counties without a Chronic Wasting Disease case for three years, an adjustment to landowner permit eligibility for those with at least 20 acres in affected counties, and a measure allowing Mutual Aid Box Alarm System chiefs to use emergency lights and sirens when responding to calls.
