The Cubs claimed their four-game series over the Cardinals following a 4-2 win in 10 innings from St. Louis.
Alex Bregman and Ian Happ drove-in runs in the top of the 10th inning. Chicago has won five of its last seven games.
Luis Gastelum gave up both runs while JJ Wetherholt went deep to tie the game in the seventh for St. Louis, which has dropped six-of-eight.
The Cubs will be home on Friday afternoon opening up a series against the New York Yankees.
