The Cincinnati Reds scored single runs in the 6th and 7th innings Monday night and beat the Chicago Cubs by the score of 3-2 at Wrigley Field.
TJ Friedl had an RBI single in the 7th inning which was the difference in the game.
Tyler Stephenson also had a solo home run for the Reds.
Scott Barlow was the winning pitcher in relief. Emillo Pagan pitched the 9th inning for his 24th save.
Ryan Brasier took the loss for the Cubs.
Dansby Swanson had a 2-run home run for Chicago in the third inning.
The Cubs are now 3 games behind Milwaukee in the Central Division. The Brewers beat the Braves on Monday night 3-1.
Milwaukee has the best record in baseball at (68-44).
