SPRINGFIELD – Illinois is dealing with air quality issues. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and the Illinois Department of Public Health are urging residents to use caution when outdoors because of unhealthy air quality. The national Air Quality Index throughout the state are higher than anticipated due to Canadian wildfire smoke. An Air Quality Alert is in effect until tonight.
