Belvidere, Illinois — The countdown is on for one of the largest county fairs in Illinois as admission tickets, season admission tickets, group admission tickets, and reserved grandstand show tickets for the 2026 Boone County Fair go on sale this Saturday, July 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Boone County Fairgrounds Ticket Office.
The 2026 Boone County Fair will be held August 11-16 at 8847 Route 76 in Belvidere and promises six days of exciting family entertainment as the fair celebrates America’s 250th Birthday with this year’s theme, “Stars, Stripes & Fair Delights!”
Making its debut this year are two fully sanctioned D&D Professional Rodeos on Saturday, August 15, at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Produced by D&D Pro Rodeo Company, both performances are part of the 2026 North American Shoot Out competition and will feature eight exciting events, including bronc riding, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, and the crowd favorite—bull riding.
Returning Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. is the ever-popular Next Level Professional Bull Riding, featuring many of the sport’s top riders matched against some of the rankest bulls in the Midwest.
Fans of horsepower won’t want to miss the Truck & Tractor Pulls featuring Illini State Pullers and Tri-County Pullers running all day Thursday, while Sunday wraps up the fair with two smashing Robbo’s Extreme Demo Derbies.
On Wednesday evening, fairgoers can enjoy the vibrant musical sounds of Chicago’s own Banda Nueva Raza, bringing an exciting Hispanic flair to the Boone County Fair.
The fair officially opens Tuesday evening with the Miss Boone County Fair Queen and Little Miss Pageant, with free grandstand admission for everyone attending.
Beyond the grandstand, visitors can enjoy 100 acres packed with outstanding livestock shows, home arts and agricultural exhibits, hundreds of commercial vendors, free entertainment and attractions, delicious fair food, and Skinner’s Midway featuring thrilling rides and fun for the entire family.
General admission is just $10 for everyone age 11 and older. Children 10 and under are admitted free every day. Seniors age 65 and older are admitted free all day Thursday, and active military personnel with valid ID are admitted free every day.
