The Bears will honor the late owner Virginia McCaskey this upcoming season. The team will wear a football-shaped patch on their jerseys with their initials VMH. The letters represent Virginia McCaskey Halas.
The Bears will also honor one of her wishes to not wear throwback or alternate jerseys this season.
In related team news, the Bears will honor late Hall of Famer Steve McMichael by wearing a number 76 decal on their helmets. The same number will be on display on the grass at Soldier Field on game day.
