SYCAMORE – The DeKalb County Community Foundation has launched the Waterman Community Endowment Fund, the first fund dedicated to benefiting Waterman, Ill. Built through tax-deductible donations, the fund will support local projects and services for current and future residents. Inspired by similar efforts in DeKalb County, the idea was championed by former Foundation Board members representing Waterman. Organizers designed the fund to complement existing initiatives, such as the Waterman Community Chest, by creating a permanent charitable endowment that will provide annual grants for community needs.
