US Women’s Ice Hockey Wins Gold

(Milan) — The US women’s ice hockey team is shining in gold after rallying past Canada 2-1 in overtime from Milan.
Megan Keller’s nifty backhand ended the gold medal game just over four minutes into the extra period. Hilary Knight’s game-tying goal at the end of regulation made her the highest-scoring American woman in Olympic history.
Tessa Janecke of Orangeville is a member of the USA women’s hockey team. She had 5 assists during the Olympic games in Italy.
Team USA also won gold in the 1998 Winter Games in Nagano and the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang.
