Trump To Deliver State Of The Union As Some Illinois Lawmakers Boycott

WASHINGTON DC — President Donald Trump will deliver the State of the Union at 8 p.m. Tuesday before a joint session of Congress. Several Illinois Democrats, including Rep. Eric Sorensen and Sen. Tammy Duckworth, plan to skip the speech. Sen. Dick Durbin will attend with Tereza Lee, the musical prodigy who inspired him to write the Dream Act, which allows certain young immigrants to seek U.S. citizenship.
