DAVIS JUNCTION — A 68-year-old woman who was reported missing early Wednesday in Davis Junction was found deceased around 2:30 p.m., authorities said. Dana McKinney, who suffered from dementia was last seen about 1:10 a.m. in the 15000 block of East Oak Tree Drive. Ogle County Sheriff’s Office personnel, including drone and K9 teams, responded along with fire department personnel and search and rescue teams. Wednesday evening authorities announced that she was located deceased in a body of water after traveling approximately one mile from her residence. An autopsy will be conducted by the Ogle County Coroner’s Office to determine cause of death but foul play is not suspected.
