(Indianapolis, IN) — The Indy 500 takes place Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Rookie racer Robert Shwartzman will run from the pole position, becoming the first rookie to earn that spot since Teo Fabi in 1983. He will be joined on the top line by two-time Indy 500 winner Takuma Sato and last year’s runner-up Pato O’Ward.
Last year’s winner, Josef Newgarden, will start in the 11th row alongside Will Power. Thirty-three drivers in all will be in the race.
