ROCHELLE — The Spark Shop in downtown Rochelle is open with local vendors selling a variety of products, including new additions Moonbeam Remedies, Craftedpaperdesign, and Half-Acre Pantry. Vendors keep all their proceeds, pay a quarterly fee, and staff the shop eight to ten hours per month. The shop, located in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue, is managed by the Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, the Rochelle Retail Advisory Board, and the City of Rochelle. It is open Wednesday 2–6 p.m., Thursday and Friday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–2 p.m., and the first and third Sunday of each month 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Organizers say the shop allows only one vendor per product category, with new vendors added as spots open, providing a rotating mix of small businesses and unique items for shoppers.
