Sheriff Andy Sullivan Opens Scholarship Applications

SYCAMORE – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applicants for a 500 dollar scholarship to support higher education for the 2025 and 2026 school year. The Illinois Sheriff’ Association sponsors the program for students who are enrolled full time at an Illinois based institution or participating in online learning through an Illinois school. A committee of local citizens will review the submissions and select a winner based on the criteria set by the association. The scholarship winner will be announced by May 1st and must provide proof of enrollment by September 15 to receive the funds. Applications are available at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and must be returned by March 14th.
