Rockford Public Schools React To Possible Teachers Strike

ROCKFORD –  Rockford Public Schools District 205 is reacting to news of a possible teachers’ strike.  The Rockford Education Association voted to authorize a strike.  In response, the district said they are disappointed, but they respect the process.  The district is actively working to schedule another bargaining session this week.  If a work stoppage happens, officials will keep all elementary, middle, and special programs open.  They won’t have instructional days, but meals will be available and the buildings will be staffed and ready to support families.
