MONROE CENTER — A three-vehicle crash at the intersection of E Illinois Route 72 and N Mulford Road sent one person to the hospital Monday afternoon. Deputies said a northbound car failed to yield to a westbound semi tractor-trailer around 3:40 p.m., striking the semi and causing a second car to be hit. The 29-year-old driver of the at-fault car was taken to Javon Bea Hospital with minor injuries. The semi driver and the second car’s driver were not hurt. All vehicles were towed from the scene, and the 29-year-old driver was cited for failing to yield at a stop intersection. Monroe Center Fire and Lynn Scott Rock Fire assisted at the scene.
