ROCHELLE – The Floyd J. Tilton VFW Post #3878 in Rochelle will be closed from April 7th to possibly April 18th for renovations. During this time, the post will finish the flooring project in the canteen area, replace cooling components in the walk-in beer cooler, and update the gaming area by removing the trophy display case, repairing the ceiling, and adding space for another gaming machine. If asbestos abatement is needed, the closure may extend beyond the planned dates, but the post will reopen earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule. The post’s new Queen of Hearts drawing will start when the renovations are finished. The most recent drawing on February 25th saw a record $458,464.50 jackpot.
