ROCHELLE – The Rochelle VFW Auxiliary Gardens on 8th Avenue are being prepared for the spring season, with volunteers set to help plot the fields on Saturday, April 19th. Recent rain delayed tillage, but organizers are moving forward with plans to open garden plots to returning participants first, then to the public. The garden includes 100 plots, each 20 by 30 feet, available for $20, with proceeds supporting scholarships for Rochelle High School seniors.
