Rochelle Storm Siren Out Of Service Near May Mart Drive

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Fire Department reports the storm warning siren near Central Bank on May Mart Drive is out of service and residents nearby should use other methods to receive severe weather alerts such as mobile apps or NOAA weather radios. Officials say plans are being finalized to replace the unit. The city reminds residents the outdoor warning system is meant to alert people outside during severe weather and should not be relied on indoors.
