ROCHELLE – Rochelle’s Spring 2026 Hiring Expo was held yesterday at Rochelle Township High School. Students connected with employers during Hubs for Hire at a special morning event, then in the afternoon the expo was open to the public.
“We had over 32 hiring partners,” said Rochelle Chamber Executive Director Tricia Herrera. “We also had the Hubs for Hire group come through from 10:30 to 11:30 today, and it was great to interact with the students and hear about what they want to do. For some, it may not be a summer job, but something they could come back to after college.”
Jenny Thompson, the Director of Community Engagement with the City of Rochelle, said RTHS really put their best foot forward.
“The students did a great job. They came in, worked the room, and talked with the different employers,” she said Thursday. “ I think it is a great experience for them to see what a job fair looks like, how to interact, what to wear, and how everything is set up before they are out in the real world searching for their first job.”
The expo was supported by the City of Rochelle, the Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, Kishwaukee College, and Rochelle Township High School
