ROCHELLE – The Easter Eggstravaganza will take place at Cooper Park in Rochelle this Saturday starting at 11 a.m. The event, presented by the City of Rochelle, Rochelle Community Hospital, The Flagg-Rochelle Park District, 102.3 The Coyote, and SuperHits 93.5, is open to children ages 0-10, as well as those with special needs. Participants will be divided into two age groups, 0-5 and 6-10, with a special area for children with special needs starting at 10:45 a.m. The event includes an egg scramble with over 8,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes. You will also have an opportunity for a free photo with the Easter Bunny courtesy of Erin Bacon of Destiny Studios starting at 10 a.m., plus a chance to meet Beauty from Dreams Come True Events. Face Painting with Buttercup Paints will also be available at Cooper Park Saturday morning. The Hub City Senior Center and Lincoln Manor Rochelle assisted with stuffing the eggs for the hunt. The event is free to attend and will take place rain or shine.
