ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Area Community Foundation announced Yazmin Nambo as its 2026 board president. Nambo moved to the Rochelle area from Mexico at the age four and has lived in the community since then. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Aurora University. Nambo has worked for the Rochelle Elementary School District since 2013 in several roles and currently serves as director of special programs and preschool. The foundation said her experience in education, community service, and bilingual leadership will support its work with local nonprofits and residents across the Rochelle area.
