POLO — The Polo City Council has approved an ordinance restricting the parking and idling of certain vehicles in residential areas, effective next month. The measure limits vehicles such as farm tractors, motor homes, recreational vehicles and trailers, semitrailers, tow trucks, truck tractors, buses and utility trailers from parking on residential streets or alleys for more than a cumulative 60 minutes per day, restricts front yard parking to regularly constructed driveways without blocking sidewalks, and limits the running of certain vehicle engines to 30 minutes per day in residential districts, with exemptions for city, utility and service vehicles performing work and for temporary loading or unloading.
