Oregon Chamber to Explore Potential Restructure

OREGON — The Oregon Chamber of Commerce will suspend operations at the end of the year but could return after a potential restructure. Executive Director Chance Monroe said declining membership dues and financial instability have made the organization unsustainable in its current form. He also noted that the chamber is independent from local government.

“Autumn on Parade will continue.,” Monroe said. “And no matter what happens with the chamber, if it continues to stay open in some sort of capacity or if in the unfortunate event that it does completely close, Candlelight Walk will continue. So rest assured that those two core events in Oregon are going to continue no matter what.”

Staff will remain available for inquiries through December 31st, and the chamber will provide updates through its Facebook page.
