One Dead After Ogle County Fire

ROCHELLE — One person was found deceased following a third alarm structure fire early Sunday at a home in the 8000 block of South Thorpe Road in rural Ogle County. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies were called around 2 a.m. and reportedly found the second story fully engulfed in flames. Rochelle Fire and EMS extinguished the fire with help from multiple surrounding departments and agencies. South Thorpe Road was closed Sunday morning because of the incident. The cause remains under investigation by the Ogle County Sheriff Office and the Illinois State Fire Marshal. More details are expected to be released later today.
