OGLE COUNTY — Ogle County Sheriff deputies responded around 9 p.m. Sunday to a single vehicle rollover crash in the 10000 block of North Illinois Route 2. Deputies said a pickup truck was southbound when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and entered the west ditch. The truck struck a guardrail and several trees before overturning onto its roof. The 32-year-old Mount Morris man who was the driver and sole occupant suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital. He was cited for improper traffic lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Byron and Oregon fire departments assisted at the scene.
